ABOUT ME 🙋🏻♀️ (Rachel)
I graduated with a degree in fashion, but over time I realised I was more drawn to the world of graphic design and visual communication. While I started with fabric and form, I discovered my strengths lie in exploring colour, layout, and storytelling through design.
Over the past 6 plus years, I’ve worked in various graphic design roles, with Sahara as my main full-time position. I’ve contributed to projects ranging from branding and logo creation to print and digital artwork. Along the way, I’ve gained experience in photo and video editing, supported by a strong understanding of print processes, colour profiles, and UI and UX design. Regardless of the role or project, my focus remains on crafting thoughtful, tailored design solutions that bring ideas to life.
SO WHAT CAN I DO?
Branding
I create bespoke brand identities that blend logo design, colour palettes, themes, and typography into a cohesive visual story. Every element is carefully chosen to reflect your brand’s essence; its personality, values, and voice, so your identity feels not just seen, but felt.
Art Direction
From working with Vox Vangard, a company specialising in immersive event and performance design, and Sahara, I developed creative concepts for promotional materials, window vinyl, and window displays that engage and captivate audiences.
Graphic Design
With over 6 years of graphic design experience, I’ve worked on logos, promotional materials, social media posts, catalogues, and lookbooks. I’m skilled in photo editing and have a strong understanding of RGB and CMYK colour systems, often attending press checks to ensure colour accuracy in print.
Video
Editing
My interest in video editing began during my A-levels. At Sahara, I progressed from editing short social media reels to full campaign videos, gaining experience in color grading, effects, and audio syncing.
I create polished, engaging videos for YouTube, paid ads, and social media that bring brands to life. If you want your story told with creativity and flair, I’m here to help.
User
Interaction & Experience
Since 2020, I’ve developed my skills in user interaction and user experience design, starting with an online UX course at General Assembly where I created a project called Mind&Soul; an app for online therapy. Shortly after, Sahara decided to re-platform their website, and I was the sole designer responsible for all design mockups on Figma. The site successfully launched in 2023, and since then, I’ve been working closely with the web agency and our E-commerce manager to continually improve the site’s UI and UX, enhancing user engagement and functionality.
